Daily Gratitude

When you are grateful fear disappears and abundance appears - Anthony Robbins

I love to use the Daily Stoic journal and the Stoic. app to journal and reflect on life in ways that I wouldn’t without the prompts, quotes and stories to help me reframe my perspective. Gratitude is an emotion that can be cultivated through daily practices, such as keeping a gratitude journal, expressing gratitude to others, or simply taking time to reflect on the things one is thankful for. Scientific studies have shown that these practices can have a positive effect on the brain, even changing neural pathways. By focusing on the positive aspects of one's life, an individual can create new connections in the brain that strengthen over time, making it easier to think positively and feel grateful.

I completed 30 days of gratitude practice posts on Facebook leading up to Thanksgiving 2022. It not only brought me so much joy to reflect on happy things, but it also brought joy to my friends and family. Several even attributed my daily gratitude posts to their inspiration to do the same. As I try to reflect and continue working through the inconsequential annoyances of life and worries surrounding them, I try to focus on my gratitude and get out of my head when I can. It’s easy to focus on the bad things, do yourself a favor and take stock of the good things too.

What fears can you replace with gratitude?
