Community & Coaches

“There’s a quote from Bismarck that says, in effect, any fool can learn from experience. The trick is to learn from other people’s experience.”

- Ryan Holiday

Learning is a lifelong process that is essential for personal growth and development, but it can be extremely uncomfortable in the early stages. Whether you want to learn a new skill, improve your performance, or develop your leadership abilities, having a coach and community can make a significant difference in your learning journey. Sucking at something is uncomfortable. It's scary to fail and it’s easy to get stuck in a fixed mindset that may prevent you from even trying. Just because you don't know how now, doesn't mean you can't learn.

I invested the time and money in graduate school at Middlebury Institute of International Studies and found myself in a pool of high achievers, social justice seekers, and people motivated to tackle the world’s problems. I invested in Pace Morby’s SubTo Creative Finance mentorship program and found myself in a different environment among other action takers, small business owners, and real estate investors doing things I’ve done, doing things I want to do, and doing things I never thought possible. The system and processes built on my experience set and jump started my business planning and execution. I highly recommend learning fully, continuously and with the help of those more knowledgable than you!

Getting a coach, mentor or teacher to provide guidance, support, and feedback can help you achieve your goals faster with less error. Additionally, they can provide motivation, accountability, and a fresh perspective on your progress.

Another essential component of learning is having a community. A community is a group of like-minded individuals who share your interests, goals, or values. They can provide support, encouragement, and inspiration as you pursue your learning journey. Additionally, being part of a community can help you stay motivated, accountable, and engaged in your learning process.

Communities can take many forms, including online groups, social media platforms, local clubs, or professional associations. They provide a space where you can connect with others, share ideas, ask questions, and learn from each other's experiences. Communities can also help you expand your network, find mentors, and access new opportunities.

The benefits of having a coach and community are numerous. They can help you stay motivated and accountable, accelerate your learning, overcome obstacles, avoid failure, and expand your network.

In conclusion, having a coach and community is essential for anyone who wants to learn and grow and Pace Morby’s mentorship is the best on the planet (as we of the cult like to say). They provide the guidance, support, and resources you need to achieve your goals, stay motivated, and overcome obstacles. Whether you're learning a new skill, pursuing a career, or developing your leadership abilities, having a coach and community can make all the difference in your learning journey.

How are you going to get where you’re going faster? Who and what community will you leverage?
